In 1997 Marcus started Steelworks, a specialist company designing and manufacturing bespoke items of silverware, furniture, lighting and various decorative items for several of the more prestigious restaurants in London , most notably those of Marco Pierre White, which have included:

The Belvedere

Wheelers
Les Saveurs
Frankies  (Knightsbridge, Putney and Chiswick)
The Oak Room

Various pieces have also been produced for the restaurants of Jean Christophe Novelli and Gordon Ramsay as well as items for specialist furniture and lighting shops, a number of  bars and clubs and private individuals.
